Welcome to Old 2v's Landing

Welcome to Old 2v’s Landing, a part of Ron Tuverson’s Resort, on the St Croix Flowage in Gordon, WI. (Cabin 4, 7 and 2v’s home). It’s been a long slow process, years of layers pealed back, tons of cleaning and scrapping but we are finally on the upswing for this project.  Cabin 4 renovation marks our first step back to being open for business.

Tuverson’s resort was first established in 1939 by Albert and Rachael Tuverson, along the Ron and his brother Lyle. Ron (2v) eventually took over the family business. Ron passed away in 2019.

We are hoping to continue (along with the neighbors who have the other half of the resort) the journey the Tuverson family started. Please share with us any stories and photos you may have from “back in the day”.

Did you know the Flowage covers about 1900 acres and has approximately 29 miles of shoreline? The vast majority of the shoreline is publicly owned land, that means very little development in the area. You really do “get away from it all” when here. The flowage has a maximum depth of 28 feet, but the flowage is shallow, averaging around 7 feet. Fishing will most likely net you bluegills, crappies, northerns, and largemouth bass, with the occasional smallmouth bass or if you’re lucky a muskie.

The St Croix Flowage is also part of the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway. We are located just above the Gordon dam, which is the starting point for the “Middle St Croix” for all the paddlers looking to plan some day trips.

Water not your thing?  We are right off ATV trails that head all over the region. We are also located very close to the North Country National Scenic Trail, the longest trail in the National Park System. This trail stretches from Vermont to North Dakota, covering more than 4800 miles.

Another great local place to explore, ride horses, participate in dog trials, bird watch, pick berries is the Douglas County Wildlife Area, known to locals as the “Bird Sanctuary”.  The area is approximately 4,000 acres of pine barrens and prairie habitat.

If you need to cool off Lake Superior is just to the north of us. From Duluth/Superior to Ashland and the Bayfield Peninsula you will find many fun day trips.
